ITP to Provide Support for National Grid Bell 429s

MRO provider ITP has signed a Power-by-the-hour (PbH) agreement with National Grid to provide a full range of maintenance services for the PW207D1 engines that power the British company’s fleet of Bell 429 helicopters for a period of ten years.

National Grid’s Bell 429 helicopters are used for high-definition imaging and thermal surveys of the company’s 22,000 high-voltage towers and 220 Sub-stations that the British electricity and gas distribution multinational manages in the UK.

ITP will provide support from its Albacete site, as also on-site at National Grid’s own facilities for services such as; scheduled revisions, basic unscheduled engine removal, overhaul of engines fuel nozzles, 24H AOG & on-field mobile repair service), troubleshooting, inspections along with engine condition trend monitoring and rental engine availability.
