Boeing 787 Dreamliner Notches Up 100,000th Flight with ANA
Posted: 2016 Jan 14

Boeing’s revolutionary 787 Dreamliner has completed 100,000 revenue flights with Japanese airline All Nippon Airways (ANA). ANA was the launch customer for the Dreamliner and was the first airline to commence scheduled operations with the type in 2011. It now adds another first, becoming the first airline in the world to complete 100,000 revenue flights, which is approximately a quarter of all 787 revenue flights.

“Reaching the 100,000th revenue flight milestone with the 787 Dreamliner is a significant milestone for ANA. As the largest customer of the 787, we look to forward to introducing the entire family of Dreamliners into our fleet as we aim to celebrate another 100,000 flights and beyond,"said Osamu Shinobe, president and CEO, ANA. Ray Conner, president and CEO, Boeing Commercial Airplanes said, “We are honoured to celebrate this important milestone with ANA,” and called ANA a tremendous partner on the 787 program.

ANA has the world’s largest fleet of 787s in service and currently operates 44 aircraft (787-8 and 787-9) on scheduled flights. Boeing will deliver an additional 39 787s to the airline, including the latest variant the 787-10, which is also the longest 787 available.
