Two More Embraer E175s for KLM Cityhopper
Posted: 2016 Jan 18

KLM’s subsidiary for European operations, KLM Cityhopper, has converted two of its options for Embraer’s E175 into firm orders. The order is valued at $88.8 million (At list prices) and was included in Embraer’s 2015 fourth-quarter backlog. The airline had placed orders with Embraer in March 2017 for 15 E175s and two E190s with options for 17 E175s. “We are pleased to confirm the options for two additional Embraer E175s. They will join the 30 E190s already flying with KLM Cityhopper. The E175 will be configured in a single-class layout with differentiated pitches to accommodate for European Business Class, Economy Comfort and Economy Class. With the leather upholstery this makes the Embraer extremely comfortable for our passengers,” said Pieter Elbers, President and CEO KLM.KLM Cityhopper currently has 30 E190s in its fleet which have been operational for almost a decade and will receive the first E175 by March, this year.
