Rolls-Royce Launches New Maintenance Offering

SelectCare, a new engine service has been launched by Rolls-Royce (RR) to further enhance its engine support offerings. RR engine support offerings will now comprise of the comprehensive TotalCare service, followed by SelectCare and MRO Services. The launch customer for the new SelectCare service is American Airlines, which has chosen the service for all the RB211-535 engines that power its Boeing 757 fleet. These engines were earlier being supported by RR under separate TotalCare and MRO Services agreements.Dominic Horwood, Rolls-Royce, Chief Customer Officer Civil Large Engines, said: “The launch of SelectCare is another step forward in our commitment to provide customers a choice of competitive, capable and flexible services tailored to their individual needs.” Under SelectCare, customers have the flexibility to choose the services that they require for an agreed number of engine shop visits to match their service needs and budget. from other fixed-price overhaul agreements.RR also announced in January, thatSingapore Airlines has decided to extend its TotalCare service agreement with Rolls-Royce for the Trent 800 engines that power its Boeing 777 fleet.
