Air Vanuatu Receives Next-Generation 737

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has delivered a Next-Generation 737 to Air Vanuatu, the flag carrier of the South Pacific nation, which operates flights to Australia, New Zealand and destinations in the South Pacific. The airline is a new customer for ALC which first announced the order in July, last year.

"The new 737 NG offers significant improvements in fuel efficiency and passenger experience, making it the perfect match for Air Vanuatu as they renew and enhance their fleet,” said Steven F. Udvar-Hzy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Air Lease Corporation. Los Angeles based, ALC has taken delivery of 65 Boeing jetliners till date, out of the 253 that it has placed orders for.
