The flag carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, Oman Air has signed a long-term contract with AFI KLM E&M for flight hour support for the airlines Boeing 737NG CFM56-7 power plants equipping Oman Air’s Boeing 737NG’s.
KLM Engineering & Maintenance has been working with Oman Air for several years now and the new contract is worth several million dollars. “The long-term contract will help us to deliver smooth operations and will support us in maintaining our excellent record for safety, reliability and on-time performance,” said Paul Gregorowitsch, CEO of Oman Air.
“The airline was won over by our extensive expertise on the best-selling CFM56-7 engine,” said Ton Dortmans, Executive Vice President KLM E&M. “his engine and its close relative the -5B are high quality assets, and AFI KLM E&M is the reliable choice when it comes to these narrow body products.”
Muscat based Oman Air, operates a fleet of 40 jetliners, consisting of Airbus A330s, Boeing 737s, and newly introduced Boeing 787 787 Dreamliners.
