Leading MRO provider, AFI KLM E&M will support Malaysian carrier Eaglexpress Air’s A330 aircraft as part of a recently concluded contract. Signed during the Singapore Airshow, the component support contract, includes component repair, access to AFI KLM E&M’s global A330 spares pool and a main base kit to be located at Jeddah. The contract will support six A330’s recently acquired by the airline and is the first contract between the two firms. “We were won over by AFI KLM E&M’s solid reputation in Asia Pacific on the A330 market, the company’s regional and global presence, and the solutions it offers,” said Captain Azlan Zainal Abidin, CEO Eaglexpress Air. Eaglexpress Air operates three Boeing 747-400s and one A330-200 at present and has plans to acquire an additional 12 A330s in the next 5years.
