Thomas Rueckert to Head Aircraft Overhaul Services at Lufthansa Technik

Lufthansa Technik has selected Thomas Rueckert to lead its international overhaul network across eight sites in Europe, Asia and the Americas. 45-year-old Rueckert will replace Soeren Stark, as head of aircraft overhaul services at Lufthansa Technik, while Stark, will move onto his new role as the Executive Board of Lufthansa Cargo as COO."We're delighted to have secured Thomas Rueckert, an internationally experienced manager, for this complex role. He already has a proven track record in a very wide range of aircraft maintenance and overhaul activities and will be continuing the successful work of Soeren Stark," said Thomas Stueger, Chief Executive Products, Services & IT at Lufthansa Technik.
 
Rueckert joined Aircraft Maintenance at Lufthansa Technik AG in Frankfurt in 1997, and amongst his various roles include; Vice President Aircraft Maintenance at Lufthansa Technik Philippines and CEO at Shannon Aerospace. Responsible for the overhaul and modification of Airbus and Boeing aircraft for commercial customers, Lufthansa Technik's overhaul services product division has sites in Germany, Ireland, Malta, Bulgaria, Hungary, Puerto Rico and the Philippines, with approximately 5.500 employees working on more than 40 overhaul lines during peak times.
