AFI KLM E&M and its long-standing partner GMF AeroAsia recently signed a Letter of Intent (LOI), which will result in both companies increasing their cooperation to move up a stage to become a strategic alliance.
The new alliance will develop a range of multi-segment MRO products delivering high value-added maintenance solutions for the market.
President & CEO GMF AeroAsia, Iwan Joeniarto saidthat the strategic alliance between GMF and AFI KLM E&M is one of GMF’s inorganic initiatives to accelerate towards its vision to become Top 10 MROs in the World. “Besides, we also hope that this partnership could strengthen GMF’s position in the Asia Pacific’s aircraft maintenance market as a total solution provider.”
“This new step fully fits our strategy to grow the AFI KLM E&M footprint in Asia, where MRO needs are booming,” said Executive Vice President AIR FRANCE KLM Engineering & Maintenance, Anne Brachet.
AFI KLM E&M and its long-standing partner GMF AeroAsia will now seek to combine their respective strengths to offer a range of unique MRO capabilities in the global marketplace.
The products jointly developed by the two companies in the framework of the LOI will be deployed in the Airframe, Components and Engines products sectors and possibly beyond.
