RUAG Adds Gulfstream G550 MRO Capability

RUAG Aviation has announced the addition of Gulfstream G550 MRO capability to its service portfolio, following the extension of EASA Part 145 Maintenance Organisation approvals to include line and base maintenance for the Gulfstream G550 at its facilities in Munich.

Airbus Delivers First A320neo to North American Customer

Airbus has completed the delivery of the first A320neo to Mexican airline Volaris, marking the delivery of the type into North America. The Mexican low-cost carrier (LCC) is also the largest Airbus customer in Mexico, having placed orders for a total of 74 A320 Family aircraft, including 30 A320neos. Volaris has 63 A320 Family aircraft in service, including 17 A319, 42 A320 and four A321s.

Babcock Bags Qantas Support Contract

The Qantas Group has awarded a five-year contract to leading UK engineering support services firm, Babcock to support its ground support equipment (GSE) fleet at 60 locations across Australia. The contract has an option to be extended for an additional two years. The contract is expected to streamline the management of the Qantas’ fleet of over 10,000 Ground Service Equipment assets spread across 60 locations within Australia.

Delta Connection Adds New Airplane

SkyWest Airlines has commenced operations with the Embraer E175 for Delta Connection. The Embraer E175 comes with new, more fuel-efficient wingtips; extending the aircraft’s wingspan by roughly nine feet and features an updated interior with nose-to-tail in-seat power outlets, mainline-style seats, ambient lighting and faster ATG-4 Wi-Fi.

Comlux Retrofits ACJ319 with Sharklets

The first retrofit of an ACJ319 Airbus corporate jet with fuel-saving Sharklets wingtips, has been carried out on an aircraft belonging to Comlux Aviation Group. This is also the first Sharklets retrofit on any version of the A319 airliner. The turnkey-project is managed by Airbus Corporate Jets and the retrofit work was carried out by TAP Maintenance and Engineering.
