Airbus Helicopters has announced deliveries for four new H135 rotorcraft to Poland’s public air medical rescue operator LPR (SP ZOZ Lotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe). The arrival of the new helicopters will further enhance LPRs Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) operations in Poland. The operator had placed the orders for the type with Airbus Helicopters in August, last year. Following the latest deliveries, the number of H135s with LPR which operates from 17 bases in Poland, has risen to 27 helicopters.
Mickael Peru, Managing Director at Airbus Helicopters Polska said, “We also ensure that these aircraft can be autonomously maintained in-country and in full accordance with the operator’s requirements. This latest delivery is yet another example of the excellent cooperation with our Polish customer and demonstrates once again our ability to fulfil all our contractual obligations.”
With 27 H135s operational in the air medical role in Poland, the country is one of the largest users worldwide of Airbus Helicopters, popular twin-engine helicopter in its new-generation EMS configuration. Airbus Helicopters, says that LPRs H135 helicopters are demonstrating average availability rates of over 95 percent. An estimated 400 H135s worldwide are used for EMS duties.
