Alcoa and GE Aviation Sign $1.5 Billion Contract

Alcoa and GE Aviation have signed a long-term contract worth in excess of $1.5 billion for the supply of jet engine components for a number of the engine maker’s programs. The new announcement marks a strong start to the year for the lightweight metals leader, which had announced aerospace supply contracts worth approximately, $9 billion in 2015.

GE Aviation will receive advanced nickel-based superalloy, titanium and aluminium components for use in its engine programs from Alcoa. The components will be produced at Alcoa’s manufacturing facilities across the U.S.A and Canada.
