Posted: 2016 Jan 18

Airbus Helicopters has received an order for a H130 light helicopter from Philippines based operator PhilJets. The H130 is slated for delivery in June 2016 and is the second order for the type from the operator in the last six months. The new helicopter will help the group to further enhance its operations and be operated by PhilJets Aero Charter Corp, the group’s air transport subsidiary. “PhilJets is one of our most important customers in the Philippines who has shown their confidence and continued support in our aircraft,” said Yves Poesy, Managing Director of Airbus Helicopters in the Philippines. “The Ecureuil has proven its performance and capabilities in a variety of missions around the world and is the clear single engine market leader in the country. …”The versatile H130 will be used for a range of tasks such as corporate and tourist travel and roles such as medical evacuation, cargo-sling transportation for mining, construction of roads, power lines and telecom towers inspection and maintenance. With the latest order, the PhilJets Group will have a total fleet of five H130s and one AS350 B2.
