Jet Aviation Zurich to Provide High-Volume Fuel Uplifts to Lufthansa

Jet Aviation Zurich which was recently contracted by the Lufthansa Group to provide high-volume fuel uplifts through docked dispenser fuelling, announced that it commenced the service from January 1st, 2016. The first aircraft for which Jet Aviation Zurich provided dispenser fuelling, was a Geneva-bound Airbus A320 belonging to Swiss International Air Lines. Swiss is owned by the Lufthansa Group.

“Lufthansa Corporate Fuel Management is fully supporting Jet Aviation’s approach to further expand their business to demonstrate its capabilities,” said Deutsche Lufthansa’s Director of Fuel Purchasing Thorsten Lange. “They will not only provide state-of-the-art Bowser-Fuelling but also deliver reliable, on time services with dispensers and well trained staff that now completes Jet Aviation’s Jet-Business portfolio at Zurich Airport.”

“Hydrant dispensers have many integrated safety features and are capable of efficiently dispensing high volumes of aviation fuel," explains Project Manager Daniel Brechbühl. "Our goal is to seamlessly ensure the highest safety standards for our customers and all of our dedicated staff has completed dispenser fuel training. They have specifically been trained to securely attach our new hydrant dispenser trucks to an underground fuel pipeline system through which fuel is quickly dispensed to the aircraft."
