Air India Subsidiary Alliance Looks to Add 10 ATR72-600s on Dry Lease

Alliance Air which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Government owned Indian carrier Air India is seeking to lease 10 new ATR 72-600 regional transport aircraft (RTA) for a period of 12 years. 

In its tender bid, the Alliance Air has asked for the aircraft to be delivered in two batches; the first batch with four aircraft to be delivered from April 2016 to September 2016 and the second batch of six ATRs to be delivered between October 2016 and March 2016.

Alliance Air states that the aircraft will see a utilisation of 3000 flight hours annually and will fly on average sector lengths of 390 km. It also calls for the provision of 5 pilots per aircraft to be provided for the first 24 months from the date of commencement of lease.
