Posted: 2016 Mar 12

Taiwan-based low-cost carrier Tigerair Taiwan has entered into a new long-term agreement with Lufthansa Technik AG, which will see the Hamburg-based maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider delivering maintenance services including LRU (line-replaceable unit) services for the Auxiliary Power Units (APU) belonging to Tigerair Taiwan's growing A320 fleet.

Gerald Steinhoff, Senior Vice President Corporate Sales Asia Pacific Lufthansa Technik, said, “Our support for Tigerair Taiwan proves Lufthansa Technik's ability to efficiently meet the needs of successful Low Cost Carriers in Asia.  We are very proud to further develop our long and trustful partnership with airlines in Taiwan".

The overhaul of APU components as well as pooling supply of APU components for Tigerair Taiwan’s APUs, will be performed at Lufthansa Technik's warehouse in Singapore as per the long-term contract.
