AFI KLM E&M's North American subsidiary, Barfield, which mainly specializes in maintenance and component support solutions, has signed new support agreement with its long-standing partner JetBlue.
Tony Lowery, JetBlue VP Technical Operations, said: "Barfield and JetBlue have a long-standing beneficial relationship. We are pleased to renew this partnership to support our growth as an airline. For the past ten years, Barfield has shown that it can deliver appropriate competitive solutions and this is again the case today with this new contract."
Under contract, Barfield will cover component repairs on a flight-hour basis, plus component engineering and logistics support for the carrier's 130 A320s and 25 A321s.
‘We are proud that JetBlue has renewed and extended its trust - a sign of the quality relationship that has existed between our two businesses for the past decade and more. Providing component support for such a large, multi-product fleet is a renewed opportunity for us to demonstrate our high level of reliability and to develop our expertise as a provider of personalized, competitive MRO solutions,’ said Barfield CEO Johann Panier.
The new contract further extends the 10-year working relationship that the two companies share.
