Lufthansa Technik Well Prepared for Boeing 737 MAX Technical Support
Posted: 2016 Apr 09

Lufthansa Technik will be fully geared and ready to provide technical support for the new Boeing 737 MAX when it commences regular flight operations which are scheduled for next year, Lufthansa Technik will provide a broad range of maintenance services for the 737 MAX from the very outset, including component support, individual repair to loan and exchange parts from its regional spare parts warehouses through to the most comprehensive and integrated Total Support products.

The Boeing 737 MAX will be powered exclusively by CFM LEAP-1B engines, whose maintenance – as with the current CFM56 engines - will likewise be included in the Lufthansa Technik portfolio.

Lufthansa Techniks’ spare parts warehouses for the Boeing 737 of the Classic and current Next Generation versions, which are well established and within easy reach of the customer, are to be extended in the process for the 737 MAX.

Lufthansa Technik has already demonstrated its accumulated experience and expertise in the introduction of new aircraft types, an example being the recent introduction of the Airbus A350 in January 2015 as well as the entry into service of the Airbus A320neo with Lufthansa in January 2016.
