TRU Announced as Supplier Boeing 777X FFS Suites

TRU Simulation + Training (TRU) has been selected by Boeing as the supplier for the first 777X full-flight simulator suites.
 
A full-flight simulator, a high-fidelity and a flat-panel classroom trainer will be part of each simulator suite, which are slated to be operational in 2019.
 
Each simulator suite will include TRU will also assist with Boeing's engineering development of the 777X, by providing a simulator. 
 
"Our customers depend on high quality training assets and very reliable full-flight simulators to train their pilots," said Sherry Carbary, vice president, Boeing Flight Services, "We are proud to once again work with TRU to create state-of-the-art training devices."
 
TRU had received a Boeing contract for a 737 MAX simulator in 2014 and this is the second order bagged by the company.
 
At present Boeing has four full flight simulators on order from TRU.
 
Until the new simulators are operational, the 777 full-flight simulator can be used to train the pilots of 777X customers. They can take a short differences training course to transition to the 777X.
 
Boeing has received 320 orders and commitments from six customers worldwide for the 777X.
