Indonesia's Garuda Announces US$ 77.97 Million Profit in 2015

Indonesia's flag carrier, Garuda Indonesia has announced a profit of US$ 77.97 million for 2015, as compared to the loss of US$ 368.9 million in 2014. The airline also successfully increased its domestic and international market share, with the domestic share increasing to 43 percent from 38 per cent and International market share has increasing to 27 percent from 23 percent. 
The flight frequency of Garuda Indonesia, increased by 9.5 percent compared to the same period last year, while the availability seat kilometers (ASK) increased by 3,4 from 50,15 to 51,86. Aircraft utilisation reached 09:01 hour. As of December 2015, the Garuda Indonesia Group (including Citilink) operated a total fleet of 187 aircraft consisting of 154 narrow body aircraft (Boeing 737-800 NG, Airbus A330-200/300, across: Boeing 737-300, Boeing 737-500, CRJ 1ooo and ATR 72-600) and 33 wide body aircrafts (Boeing 777-300ER, Airbus A330-300 & 200 and Boeing 737-500, CRJ 1000 and B747). By the end of 2016, Garuda Indonesia will operate a total of 190 aircraft with an average fleet age of 4.3 years.
