A new A330 CAE 7000XR Series full-flight simulator (FFS) has been inducted into the Asian Aviation Centre of Excellence (AACE), a joint venture between Air Asia and CAE.
Located at the AACE training centre in Glenmarie, Selangor, Malaysia, the addition of the newest simulator brings the total number of full-flight simulators (FFS) at all AACE centers to 12.
The CAE 7000XR Series FFS offers unprecedented realism, allowing pilots to be trained on a full array of situations and environmental conditions.
It makes use of the latest advances in technology and training capabilities, designed to optimize life-cycle costs and addresses new and future training requirements.
In addition to improved features such as a re-designed instructor office with support for mobile devices and real-time data analysis and feedback, the CAE 7000XR Series is also equipped with embedded training capabilities to address Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT).
The new CAE 7000XR Series FFS has been accredited and certified by DCA Malaysia and also the Korea Office of Civil Aviation (KOCA).
The pilot training needs of more than 35 airline customers are supported by AACE supports through the delivery of training courses including type-rating on Airbus A320, A330 and Boeing 737NG platforms.
