Russia’s United Engine Corporation Starts New TV7-117V Engine Production for Mi38

Series production of the new TV7-117V turboprop engine developed by JSC "Klimov" has commenced at the United Engine Corporation (UEC) plant in Russia.
 
The new engine powers the new Mi-38 helicopter and with modifications can also be used on the IL-114 and IL-112V fixed wing aircraft. 
 
UEC plans to deliver at least 200 engines by 2020. 
 
The Mi-38 initially developed also keeping in mind Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127TS for sale in abroad.
 
However, since Russia’s Ministry of Defence has emerged as the largest customer for the Mi-38, the helicopter is being offered with a Russian developed and produced engine.
