Israel Completes Successful Integrated Missile Defence Ground Test

Israel’s Ministry of Defence has announced a successful Integrated Ground Test, which validated the combined United States/ Israeli Missile Defense integrated architecture for the defence of Israel. The test was carried out on June 22, by Elisra, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems and also saw participation from the Israeli Missile Defense Organization (IMDO), United States Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the United States European Command (EUCOM).

Flight Demonstrations For Elbit Systems Digital Eye Piece Night Display

Elbit Systems has performed a series of successful night flight demonstrations with the Digital Eye Piece (DEP), a lightweight night vision cueing and display solution for JHMCS, Digital JHMCS (D-JHMCS), and JHMCS-II helmet mounted display (HMD) systems. The flight demonstrations were conducted in collaboration with several European countries currently flying the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS) on their operational aircraft.

U.S. Navy Awards Fleet Replenishment Oiler and Amphibious Assault Ship Contracts

The U.S. Navy on June 30 awarded two key contracts key for vessels to be acquired for future amphibious operations and replenishment missions. The combined total projected contract value of these contracts is approximately U.S.$ 6.3 billion.

Australian Army Receives Three CH-47F Chinooks

The Australian Army has taken delivery of three CH-47F Chinooks from Boeing, only 85 days after the airframer, first received the order. The new aircraft increase the size of Australia’s CH-47F fleet to 10, all of which were delivered ahead of schedule.

BAE Systems Australia Commences Hawk Sustainment

BAE Systems Australia has started providing operational maintenance to the Royal Australian Air Force’s (RAAF’s) Hawk 127 Lead-In Fighter fleet. The company is delivering all Hawk maintenance support on the flight line at RAAF Bases Williamtown and Pearce, directly supporting the training of Australia’s next combat aircrew. The RAAF’s 76 and 79 Squadrons previously provided operational maintenance for the air forces Hawks and the transition to the new arrangement started in October 2015.
