Azerbaijan Seeks Final Assembly of AN−178 Transport

Russian airframer Antonov and Azerbaijan based firm AZAL JSC are seeking further cooperation with regards to the       AN−178 multipurpose transport programme. The government of Azerbaijan has expressed its interest to commence
AN−178 production in the country. It was the launch customer for the type in 2015.

Rockwell Collins Completes USAF Remote Secure Receivers Deliveries

The delivery of 1,400 Remote Secure Receivers (RSRs) to the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) and Air Combat Command (ACC), have been completed by Rockwell Collins. The orders were completed as part of a follow-on contract and till date over 1,800 RSR’s have been delivered by Rockwell Collins for AFSOC and ACC.

Lockheed Martin Flies First Upgraded T-50A Trainer

The initial flight test of Lockheed Martin’s T-50A configured aircraft, which is the company’s aircraft offering in the U.S. Air Force’s Advanced Pilot Training (APT) competition has been successfully completed. Developed jointly by Lockheed Martin and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), the T-50A is adopting a low risk approach and builds on the proven heritage of the T-50 with more than 100 of the type flying today.

Roketsan and MBDA Deutschland Sign MoU

Roketsan and MBDA Deutschland will further build on their existing partnerships with the decision to enhance their cooperation towards integration of 70mm Laser Guided Missile CIRIT on TIGER UHT helicopters. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard has been signed, where the two companies have agreed on the way forward and defined responsibilities for the programme.

Safran to Power South-Korean LCH and LAH helicopters

Safran Helicopter Engines has been selected by Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI) as the engine supplier for the Korean Light Civil Helicopter (LCH) and Light Armed Helicopter (LAH). The LCH will powered by the existing Arriel 2C2 engine, while the LAH will feature a new engine designated Arriel 2L2.
