Rosoboronexport is strengthening Russia's position in the international market for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) by promoting new models, such as the Takhion and Granat-4E. Along with marketing the Takhion and Granat-4E UAS, Rosoboronexport is promoting the Orlan-10E, Granat-1ZH, Skat Superkam S-100, Skat Superkam S-640, Eleron-3, Eleron-10, as well as the mBPV-37 and BPV-500 helicopter-type UAS suitable for law enforcement applications.

BAE Systems APKWS Laser-Guided Rockets Used in Combat Operations

BAE Systems’ Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWSTM) laser-guided rockets, acquired by the U.S. Air Force and fielded on F-16 and A-10 aircraft, have seen successful use in combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is the first time the laser-guided rockets have been used in combat operations from an Air Force fixed-wing platform.

RADA Radar Systems Operational Along Southern Border of Israel

Israeli tactical land radars manufacturer, RADA Electronic Industries, has announced the deployment of its radar systems along Israel’s border with the Gaza strip. Connected to the National Alert System, the new systems are now operational and providing life-saving warnings about short range threats – including mortar shells, rockets and other aerial threats – to communities adjacent to Israel’s southern border.

CDR Completed for Northrop Grumman, US Navy Bomb Disposal Robot Programme

Northrop Grumman has announced the successful completion of the Critical Design Review (CDR) for increment 1 of the Advanced Explosive Ordnance Disposal Robotic System (AEODRS) program under development for the U.S. Navy. The CDR is an important milestone for the programme and determined that Northrop Grumman's final design for the Advanced Explosive Ordnance Disposal Robotic System dismounted operations variant satisfies cost, schedule and mission performance requirements and demonstrates the maturity for proceeding with system fabrication, assembly, integration and test.
