Korean Industry Delivers First Parts for Nation's Global Hawks

Northrop Grumman Corporation has announced the delivery of the first two component orders on the Republic of Korea Global Hawk Program by Korean defence industry. The build-to-print aerospace grade precision machine parts were delivered by Korean Jig and Fixture (KJF) for the first Republic of Korea Global Hawk. This is in addition to the wire harness, delivered by Firstec Company earlier in the year.

BAE Systems Receives ANZAC Class Support Contract

BAE Systems Australia will support the Royal Australian Navy’s ANZAC class frigate fleet along with Saab Australia Pty Ltd, Naval Ship Management Pty Ltd and the Commonwealth of Australia, for a contract valued at over $2 billion over eight years, which commences from 1 July 2016.

UK Forces Join NATO Baltic Air Policing Mission

Four Royal Air Force (RAF) Typhoons, flying from the Amari airbase in Estonia, will join the NATO Baltic Air Policing (BAP) mission until the end of August. This is the third consecutive year the UK has committed to BAP, after rotations in 2014 and 2015.

New Display Season Begins for Red Arrows

The Red Arrows display team has received approval to commence its 2016 display season after being formally awarded its Public Display Authority (PDA) earlier this month. The PDA was awarded to the world renowned display team after more than 150 demanding training sorties were flown. The Red Arrows will commence with their 52nd display season in 2016, with a team that consists of nine display pilots and more than 100 support personnel and technicians.
