Lockheed Martin and Roketsan Sign Follow-On SOM-J Contract for Turkish F-35s

A follow-on contract to finalise development of the Stand Off Missile-Joint Strike Fighter (SOM-J) cruise missile for the Turkish F-35 program has been signed between Lockheed Martin and Roketsan of Turkey. The SOM-J weapon will complement long-range weapon systems like Lockheed Martin’s Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) and the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM).

MS-177 Sensor Integration Study Contract Awarded to UTAS

A study contract for integrating the MS-177 Sensor with the USAF Distributed Common Ground System has been awarded by Lockheed Martin to UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. As part of the contract, Lockheed Martin and UTAS will support the USAF and provide the next generation image processing, command and control and situational awareness tools for combat operations.

Raytheon Receives $291 million US Navy Contract for AIM-9X

Raytheon has received a US$ 291 million contract award from the U.S. Navy for the AIM-9X Sidewinder advanced infrared-tracking, short-range, air-to-air and surface-to-air missile. Raytheon has been awarded an All Up Round Tactical Full Rate Production Lot 16 of the Block II missiles for the U.S. Navy, Air Force, Army and the governments of Japan, Norway and Taiwan.

Raytheon to Demonstrate Advanced Aerial Decoy-Jammer

Raytheon will demonstrate upgraded electronic warfare capabilities for the Miniature Air Launched Decoy-Jammer missile to the U.S. Air Force as part of a US$ 34.8 million contract award. The new version of the MALD-J, called MALD-X, will be developed and completed within 24 months, culminating in two flight demonstrations.
