Israeli small arms manufacturer IWI has announced that it will introduce its TAVOR X95 Bullpup rifle to be made available to shooting enthusiasts across Canada from Q1/17.
“After years of activity in the Canadian market and the successful sale of the TAVOR rifle and the JERICHO pistol, the company is proud to launch its cutting-edge TAVOR X95 rifle in this market,” said Shlomi Sabag, IWI’s CEO.
The Canadian TAVOR X95 will be adapted to Canadian laws, with an 18.6-inch barrel and will be manufactured and assembled in Israel on the same production line used for the US market.
It will be exported directly from Israel to Canada, and, like the TAVOR, will be classified in Canada as non-restricted.
The rifle will be offered in two calibers – 5.56mm and 9mm. A 9mm conversion kit will also available for purchase.
The TAVOR X95 features a lightweight trigger pull and weighs around three kilos.
The TAVOR X95 is used by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) and many other armies throughout the world.
