Thailand’s Bangkok Airways has decided to buy four more additional ATR-72-600 aircraft, a deal valued at US$100 million, as part of its efforts to enhance the regional fleet.

Currently, Bangkok Airways operates a fleet of 15 ATR aircraft—nine ATR72-600s as well as six ATR72-500s that are being progressively replaced with the introduction of the new ATR-600s.

The aircraft is expected to develop new routes for the airline.
