The Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) has announced the completion of firing flight tests of the Z-19E armed helicopter
“The Z-19E has shown its manoeuvrability and operational capability in the just concluded firing flight test phase, which marks a major step for the export model into the market,” a company release announced.
Over the course of multiple flight tests, airborne weapons such as the gun, air-to-air missile, air-to-ground missile were used in live weapon firing, and rocket projectiles were used in precision attack.
The Z-19E is an export-oriented tandem-seat attack helicopter designed and manufactured by the AVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry Group Co. in northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province.
The Z-19E made its successful maiden flight in May last year.
