The Russian military has commenced technical acceptance for the new Orlan-10 mini-UAV.
The Orlan-10 mini-UAV will enter operational service with the Russian military later this month and a total of 40 samples will be delivered to Defence Ministry units.
The Orlan-10 UAV is fitted with EW equipment and can also install interference transmitters and set cellular jamming zones.
3G and 4G networks will be used to allow it to distinguish between friendly and foe information transmissions.
The Orlan-10 is capable of transmitting a video signal at a distance of up to 120 kilometres and can remain in flight for more than 10 hours
The 10 kg mini-UAV uses catapult launch to get airborne.
