Engineering and technology group SENER will showcase electromechanical systems for Space and Defense at FIDAE 2018.
In space, the company will exhibit models of rotary actuators, rotary joints, from both band X and band K, for use in commercial satellites and telecommunications. The company will also exhibit electromechanical systems for defense such as those that it carries out for Meteor and Taurus KEPD350 missile programs; the company has more than 25 years of experience in the design, development, production, integration, testing and logistical support of actuation and control systems.
The company, which is on road to successfully complete the life extension program of seven AB-212 helicopters belonging to the Spanish Navy, will offer information on its capacities in the life extension of military helicopters. The company recently achieved a technical certification for this program, as well as the 2017 Avion Revue Award for Excellence in Helicopters.
SENER has had a branch in Chile since 2013, from where it has coordinated aerospace projects, specifically in astronomy. It was involved in the telescopes of the VISTA and VTL, both at the Cerro Paranal observatory, as well as in the ELT Extremelly Large Telescope, in Cerro Armazones, and the ALMA radio telescopes located in the Atacama Desert.
