MBDA Showcases Sea Venom for Malaysia

: Apr 17, 2018 - : 7:57 pm

The new Sea Venom/ANL anti-ship missile is one of the missiles being showcased by MBDA at the ongoing airshow as a replacement for operators of the UK-developed c and French-developed AS15TT antiship missiles.  The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) is also an operator of the Lynx helicopter onto which this missile can be integrated.

According to company officials, the integration process of the Sea Venom on both Lynx and Super Lynx helicopters for the export market is a low risk process but one that will deliver a substantial increase in offensive capability. The 100kg Sea Venom will be available on AW159 and also Panther helicopters.

‘The modern anti-ship missile is designed to destroy vessels ranging from FIAC (Fast Inshore Attack Craft), through medium sized FAC (Fast Attack Craft) up to large vessels such as Corvettes from safe stand-off ranges.
